Mathematical Modeling of Snow Avalanche Dynamics Using Cellular Automata

Abstract

A description of the developed three-dimensional model of avalanche motion based on cellular automata is given. Preliminary results of avalanche modeling in relation to the real terrain of an avalanche-prone area on the territory of the Elbrus ski resort are presented.
