Abstract
This study suggests an engineering procedure for calculating the elements of the matrix of elastic coefficients of the laminated core of an electric machine. The method is based on representing the core as a solid body of an orthotropic material, the mechanical parameters of which are determined by the experimental values of the core’s elastic moduli along and across the steel sheets.
