A direct current converter for power supply systems with alternative energy sources

  • Published:
Russian Electrical Engineering Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Abstract

Features of alternative energy sources as electrical devices are considered. A new direct current converter circuit is proposed. Its characteristics are analyzed in comparison with the known Cuk converter circuit. Studies have shown that, taking into account system losses, the new converter can increase the power supply voltage by ten or more times, while its efficiency reaches 85–95% in the area of continuous operation.
