The impact of winding type on overvoltages in an induction motor operating with a frequency converter

Abstract

A technique for calculation of wave parameters and overvoltages in one- and two-layer windings of an induction motor powered by a pulse-width modulation converter is introduced. A mathematical model and simulation results for wave processes in these windings are presented.
