Abstract

An electromagnetic model of a multiphase inductive furnace is considered in the early stages of smelting. The furnace is charged with a set of metallic pieces that are not electrically connected to one another. They may or may not have magnetic properties, depending on the temperature. Electromagnetic processes in furnaces with such a charge are investigated in the case of single-phase and multiphase power supply to the inductor.
