Abstract

A design of a sensor that monitors the presence of ferromagnetic bodies moving inside steel pipes is presented. Calculation of the magnetic field of the sensor is carried out with the help of the ELCUT program, taking into account nonlinearity of magnetic characteristics of pipe material. An estimate is made of the signal level obtained as a result of interaction between a moving ferromagnetic body and the sensor magnetic field.
