Abstract
A method for monitoring of the mechanical state of the windings of power transformers, which enables one to identify the effects of the appearance of radial deformations of the windings by varying the phase-shift angle between the voltages of the pair of windings is suggested. The method is an alternative to the method of measuring the short-circuit resistance for use in load modes.
