Abstract

A mathematical model is developed to investigate the controlled switching of unloaded transformers. Algorithms of controlled switching that eliminate inrush currents and, vice versa, providing the highest inrush currents for testing, are proposed. The influence of the switch capacity on the character of the recovery voltage is analyzed.
