Abstract
Ways of conserving energy in the Moscow metro using capacitor reserves are considered. The scheme of a converting unit for the capacitor reserve is described. The results of simulating the operation of the converter in different variants are presented. Test measurements of the work of electrorolling stock in a recuperation mode and the simulation of the operation of a converter prove the reliability of the new techniques from the point of view of the functioning of safety system of train movement of automatic speed control and signaling, centralization, and blocking.
