Thermal model of induction motor for relay protection

Problems of protecting an induction motor against the overheating of its stator winding and disadvantages of the thermal model with a single time constant are considered. The thermal model of an induction motor that contain five active elements is formed using the method of thermal circuits. The advisability of the application of the model in the formation of algorithms of the thermal overload protection of an induction motor is shown.
