Abstract
The magnetic field parameters of a ferromagnetic body are investigated. It is shown that, under the conditions of magnetostatics, it is only possible to obtain a magnetic field if a magnetized medium exists; moreover, the magnetic field vector can be determined as the gradient of the scalar magnetic potential. A formula describing the dependence of magnetic field strength in a magnetized body on its geometric parameters and the magnetization value is derived with the help of the Gauss-Ostrogradskii theorem and vector analysis formulas.
