Russian Agricultural Sciences Aims and scope

Abstract

The gene pool of oats at the Vavilov All-Russian Plant Industry Research Institute(VIR) collection and Northeast Zonal Agricultural Research Institute (NIISKhSV) is studied. The relation between green, grain, and dry matter yield, on the one hand, and leaf area, plant height, temperature, and precipitation during growth, on the other, is shown. New parent material and promising oat lines and varieties with high fodder productivity are created.
