Abstract
The results of analyzing the data of testing spring soft wheat and barley are given. It is established that a comparative evaluation of varieties in vitro for resistance to unfavorable abiotic factors should be done with consideration of the relation between resistance and velocity of plant developmentj; in this case, interspecific differences are expressed by certain constants.
