Abstract

A method for calculating the position of the normal reaction of the support surface relative to the center of the spot of the wheel contact is described. The interrelation of the arrangement of the side reaction with zones of static and sliding friction in a contact zone of the elastic wheel with a solid surface is described. The method is developed based on the results of theoretical and experimental studies.
