Properties of cutting oils with additives of liquid crystals

Abstract

The effect of liquid crystalline compounds on the behavior of cutting oils in friction and machining is demonstrated by experimental data. Improvement of the cutting characteristics and tool durability and reduction of the roughness of the machined surface are established.
