Abstract
The difference in physicochemical properties of carbon materials is largely due to their pore structure. The relation between the structure and reactivity of coke and the influence of the pore structure of coke on its reactivity are complex. It is of great interest to study the pore structure of various solid reducing agents so as to determine the abrasion resistance of coke and its reactivity and also to identify the optimal structure for coke use as a reducing agent in electrofurnaces.
