Abstract
Information is presented regarding the output of byproducts at coke plants in Russia and around the world. Traditional approaches to coal-tar processing are discussed. The variation in coal-pitch parameters with change in temperature and isothermal-holding time in coal-tar distillation at PAO Koks is described. Coal tar may be regarded as a potential source of innovative products characterized by high added value and global market demand.
