Maintaining the quality of electrode pitch produced at OAO EVRAZ ZSMK

Abstract

The quality of the coal tar used in the production of electrode pitch at OAO EVRAZ ZSMK is analyzed. The factors that impair pitch quality are identified, and remedial measures are proposed. Promising refinements of tar processing are noted.
