Abstract

The strength of coke produced from Mongolian coal is calculated within the framework of Eremin’s petrographic model, on the basis of literature data from a maceral analysis of such coal. The model produces quantitatively correct values of the strength characteristics M 25 and M 10. The clinkering microstrength of coal grains for individual ranks and the postreactive strength CSR of the coke may also be estimated.
