Evolution of the polyethylene terephthalate track membranes parameters at the etching process

  • Published:
Journal of Contemporary Physics (Armenian Academy of Sciences) Aims and scope

Abstract

A comprehensive study of parameters of the track membranes based on the polyethylene terephthalate has been carried out at different formation stages. Using the X-ray diffraction analysis, the changes in the structure of the polymer after its irradiation, UV-sensitization and etching are shown. By means of scanning electron microscopy, a sequential analysis of the variation of the parameters of the track membrane during the etching has been carried out, based on which the evolutions of surface morphology and pore sizes are shown.
