Abstract

Using the perturbation theory, with an accuracy up to the second- and third-order smallness terms, equations describing the Alfvén wave propagation in two-fluid plasma are derived. It is shown that the Alfvén wave nonlinearly induces the longitudinal motion of ions and neutrals which affect perturbations of the transverse magnetic field component.
