Abstract

The dependence of spin–orbit coupling parameters of ArXe+ ion electronic state on the internuclear distance is theoretically studied. The applicability of models neglecting this dependence is analyzed to describe lower electronic terms of the system. The role of the dependence under study in the dynamics of excited electronic states controlling main optical features of the ion is considered.
