Abstract
The possibility of surface nanostructuring of metal wares by a flexible elastic tool (rotating wire brushes (RWBs)) is investigated. It is established that a thin layer of the amorphized material is formed on a surface under definite treatment modes and a texture most acute in surface layers is formed. Simultaneously with hardening of the surface layer, functional coatings of various indentations from 3–5 to 40–45 μm thick can be deposited using the RWBs.
