A Local Approach to the Theory of Open Optical Quantum Systems and “Violation” of the Second Law of Thermodynamics

Abstract

In correct calculation of the energy flows between the thermostats into which nonresonantly coupled quantum harmonic oscillators decay, there is no violation of the second law of thermodynamics in using the local approach reported earlier.
