Abstract
The authors consider the effect changing the length of the drift tube of the two-section structure of an axisymmetric relativistic diffraction generator has on its output power and generation stability. Distributions of electric field strength are compared for structures with two types of inhomogeneity (discontinuities): sinusoidal corrugation and half-torus on a pedestal.
