Abstract
Physical mechanisms are considered that could affect the radiation length of coherence of high-power laser diodes during their slow degradation. Also discussed is the relationship between the drop in coherence of radiation resulting from laser degradation and the spatial–spectral separation of high-power laser radiation into individual channels of generation.
