Abstract
The authors describe the production of FeNi films characterized by negative anisotropy induced perpendicular to the field of deposition. A model of this effect proposed earlier on the basis of negative magnetostriction and heterogeneous stresses is tested. The effect of additional stresses are analyzed by varying the shape of R–H curves. The changes in anisotropy agree with the model.
