Laser Synthesis of Bismuth Titanate Bi12TiO20 for Use in Photocatalysis

Abstract—

A way of obtaining mixed oxides of titanium and bismuth is developed on the basis of pulsed laser ablation in a liquid. The main conditions of synthesis that affect the phase composition of the materials are determined, and a monophase with the Bi12TiO20 structure is obtained. The photocatalytic activity of the synthesized materials during the photodegradation of Rhodamine B under a 375 nm LED source is investigated.
