Modelling of the Magnetization Reversal in Amorphous Magnetic Microwires

  • Published:
Bulletin of the Russian Academy of Sciences: Physics Aims and scope

Abstract

Numerical simulation of the micromagnetic structure and processes of magnetization reversal in amorphous magnetic microwires with different signs of magnetostriction was carried out using OOMMF software package. The reversal of magnetization by a uniform external magnetic field and the field of an electric current are considered, allowing for the skin effect and inhomogeneous distribution of the fields over the cross-section of a microwire.
