New Radar-Absorbing Metal Composites Based on Pyrolyzed Polyacrylonitrile Containing Atoms of Transition Metals Ni and Co

  • Published:
Bulletin of the Russian Academy of Sciences: Physics Aims and scope

Abstract

A new way of synthesizing polyacrylonitrile-based NiCo/C metal–carbon nanocomposites via IR heating is described, and the radar-absorbing capability of the nanocomposites is studied experimentally. A theoretical description of the results is given for the most general case of absorption in the electronic subsystem of a sample as a result of bands and interband transitions.
