Studying the Phase of the Ambient Noise Cross-Correlation Function of an Oceanic Waveguide Field

Abstract

Advantages and limitations of a new way of estimating the cutoff frequencies of hydroacoustic modes using data on the phase of the cross-correlation function of a shallow sea noise field are considered. The results from numerical modeling are compared to experimental data recorded in the Barents Sea.
