Abstract

Data from observing the infrasound effects induced by the Chelyabinsk meteoroid impact of February 15, 2013 are presented. Similar infrasound effects registered earlier and ways of interpreting them are described. The characteristics of the infrasound station of the Institute of Solar and Terrestrial Physics, Russian Academy of Sciences, Siberian Branch, Irkutsk, which registered the effect of the meteoroid explosion in the atmosphere, are also described. The shape of the infrasound signal from the Chelyabinsk meteoroid is presented and its parameters are discussed.
