Synthesis and magnetic properties of nanocrystalline Zn1–x Fe x O solid solutions

  • Published:
Bulletin of the Russian Academy of Sciences: Physics Aims and scope

Abstract

Zn1–x Fe x O nanocrystalline solid solutions (x = 0, 0.025, 0.05) with wurtzite structure and ferromagnetic properties at room temperature are synthesized for the first time using mixed formate of Zn1 - x Fe x (HCOO)2 · 2H2O composition as a precursor. It is shown that the magnetization of Zn1–x Fe x O solid solutions rises along with the iron concentration.
