Abstract
Events with abnormally low contents of muons having energies higher than 10 GeV in showers with 106 to 107 particles and zenith angles of arrival of less than 30° are sought using the MSU EAS array data. It is shown that the fraction of showers with zero readings by the muon detector in showers where 106 < N e < 107 is considerably lower than in showers where N e > 2 × 107.
