Abstract

Domain wall pinning in a planar ferromagnetic system consisting of a nanowire and two uniformly magnetized nanoparticles parallel to it is investigated. Micromagnetic simulations and calculations of the energy of interaction between domain wall and stray fields of nanoparticles show that four variants of domain wall pining are observed in such a system and are determined by the relative orientation of magnetic moments of nanoparticles and the magnetization of the nanowire.
