Abstract
The structure of the dipole resonance in even-even isotopes of titanium is calculated within the particle-core coupling (PCC) version of the shell model using data from spectroscopy of direct (p, d) reactions. The main features of the E1 resonances in 46Ti, 48Ti, and 50Ti are reproduced.
