On the change in the masses of kaons produced in relativistic proton-nucleus collisions

Abstract

Proton-nucleus collisions at energies of 1.6, 2.5, and 3.5 GeV at the SIS/GSI are considered within the hydrodynamic approach taking into account the quark-gluon phase. The in-medium variation in the kaon mass and the change in the slope of their spectra are performed perturbatively, taking into account the momentum conservation in the freezing stage. Satisfactory agreement with the experimental data is obtained.
