Abstract

The dynamics of an electron beam in divergent magnetic fields has been studied. The changes in the longitudinal and transverse electron velocities in the beam and the effect of the magnetic field parameters on the dispersion of longitudinal electron velocities have been analyzed. A possibility of high-efficiency conversion modes in divergent magnetic fields has been established by methods of numerical simulation.
