Abstract
The effect of parametric reflection of a signal beam from a focused reference beam has been investigated. It is shown that focusing reduces a pump power reflection threshold but causes certain distortions due to the reduction of the area of the parametric mirror and occurrence of its longitudinal curvature. These effects limit the width and angle of incidence of the signal beam. To decrease the sum wave power, it is proposed to introduce an additional dispersion mismatch.
