Abstract
The energies of direct and interwell excitons in superlattices based on europium and lead sulfides have been calculated. It is established that these excitons have higher oscillator strengths and binding energies due to the indirect exchange. This circumstance can be used in semiconductor devices operating on exciton transitions.
