Abstract

In this work we consider models for estimating the roughness of machine parts with wear-resistant surfaces during turning. A model for estimating roughness was proposed that allows establishing the relationship among the value of surface roughness of a gas-thermal coating obtained during turning with cutting conditions, the geometric parameters of the cutter, and the properties of the materials of the workpiece and the tool.
