Method for Improving the Strength Properties of Motor Vehicle Transmission Parts

Abstract

A method to improve the strength properties of transmission parts of motor vehicles by application of a wear-resistant coating by an ultrasonic method making it possible to obtain thin highstrength layers is proposed. When applying the alloy material over the processed surface, an analytical method of elaborate selection a coating strengthener is used. The results of a study of toothed gear wheels of the transmission of motor vehicles with respect to strength, wear resistance, and noisiness of their work are presented.
