Analysis of deforming nonlinearity under uniaxial stretching of an angle-ply carbon fiber composite

Abstract

In the paper the patterns of inelastic deformation of angle-ply carbon fiber composites with different packing angles by uniaxial stretching are considered. The unified diagram for different packing for the deformation of a unidirectional layer at a shear has been obtained, which allows the use of a simplified approach to take into account the non-linearity effect in engineering calculations. The two experiment-calculated methods for the description of nonlinear properties of a layer at shear are proposed, and calculation results obtained by these methods are compared.
