Edge effect in the process of contact interaction of two cylinders with different lengths

Abstract

The edge effect of bodies of final sizes in the process of their contact interaction is modeled with the use of an elastic foundation. Calculation formulas are given to determine deformations and stress at the ends of cylindrical bodies of final sizes.
