Abstract

A modified fatigue curve is constructed by way of computation from the results of comparative tests with irregular loading and is used to reduce the error in prediction of lifetime. A numerical and analytical method for constructing the modified fatigue curve is proposed. Limiting cases for variation of the modified fatigue curve from the starting curve obtained in tests with a constant amplitude of loading are considered.
