Abstract

A model of a collecting device for extraction of useful minerals from seabed soil is considered. The model consists in a single-mass oscillation system, in which the mass of a load dragged on a stationary bottom increases subject to the traversed path. It is shown that unwanted frictional self-oscillations can occur owing to the forces of friction on the ground.
