Maintenance of Wear Resistance of Steel by a Directed Technological Impact

  • Published:
Steel in Translation Aims and scope

Abstract—An approach to the nature of friction and wear of steel surfaces is presented. A kinetic wear model of steel surfaces considering the quality parameters of a surface layer is proposed. To determine the coefficients in the wear model, the linear regression analysis is used. The results of the wear tests after a few technological processing methods were applied on the friction surfaces of steels 40 KhN, 45, and 18 KhGT are provided.
