Abstract

The results of experiments regarding the influence of vibration on the characteristics of elastic pulses radiated by a single seismogenic fracture under the conditions of changing external tension are described for the first time. Observations have revealed different characters of a fracture response to vibration effect under loaded and unloaded conditions. For unloaded conditions, sensitivity to vibration considerably increases. Additionally, in the spectrum of radiated acoustic pulse signals, the energy relation changes in favor of low frequencies, and the mean-square value of pulse amplitude also changes.
