Abstract

The distribution of ash-forming elements and rare earth elements (REEs) in the 2.2-Ulug coal seam and in the coal-bearing rocks of the Kaa-Khem deposit is considered. It was found that ash in unoxidized and semi-oxidized coals was ferruginous–calcium–siliceous and hydrolyzate, HMav = 1.40, and alumina–siliceous siallitic, HMav = 0.49, in oxidized coals. The carbonate composition of the intraformational coal bed was revealed. It was shown that intrusive associations of the Kaa-Khem granitoid batholith were the source of the drift of fragmentary material from the coal-bearing strata.
