Abstract
The angular velocities at which a flexible symmetric rotor with a float self-balancer loses dynamic stability are determined analytically and numerically depending on the external and internal viscous friction coefficients. The gyroscopic and refined inertial and potential forces of the system are considered. Conclusions about the efficiency of the use of such a device on high-speed rotors are made.
